Expedition Hunts for Amelia Earhart's Lost Plane

American scientists arrived at remote Nikumaroro atoll in the Pacific to search for aviator Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Electra, missing since 1937. A satellite photo suggests aircraft wreckage may lie off the island's coast. Previous searches found bones and artifacts possibly belonging to Earhart or navigator Fred Noonan.
